Going for growth is good but will not be enough on its own

‘Growth, growth, and more growth’ was the headline phrase of Liz Truss’s speech at the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham last week.

The new Prime Minister also referred to her Government’s plans for levelling up, which she once again committed to pursue ‘in a Conservative way’, with more of a focus on growing the national economy through low taxes and less regulation, and investment zones across the country to unlock private investment.
