Growing pressures see care providers close services

A new report has found 43% of care providers closed services or handed back contracts last year in response to growing financial and workforce pressures.

According to the Sector Pulse Check report, commissioned by Care England and disability charity Hft, pressures such as the rise in the National Living Wage and increasing energy costs left 40% of adult social care providers in deficit during 2023.
