Hunt in court fight over DoLS

A cross-party coalition of councils is taking health secretary Jeremy Hunt to court over his government’s failure to fully fund deprivation of liberty safeguards (DoLS).

The judicial review is being led by Liverpool City Council and backed by Labour colleagues at Nottinghamshire CC, as well as Conservative-controlled Shropshire Council and Richmond upon Thames RLBC.
