Birmingham City Council is poised to reveal a worse-than-expected financial position as it embarks on a savings drive and ‘inevitable’ job cuts, The MJ has learned.
Senior sources at the authority, which is currently subject to hefty Government intervention, have revealed an intervention finance board meeting scheduled for today will expose an even worse financial situation than previously reported.
