MP: Reorganisation plan is suicide mission

A MP has described plans to merge Dorset councils as a ‘suicide mission’ ahead of a consultation on splitting the county into two unitaries.

Speaking to his local paper, Christchurch MP Chris Chope said the consultation process itself was ‘seriously flawed’ and the ‘overwhelming view’ of councillors was to keep the current system.
