The Law Commission has launched a consultation today on a new scheme designed to reduce ‘unnecessary burdens’ on local councils.
It comes as local councils struggle to meet their Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) obligations – a year after a Supreme Court judgement broadened the definition.
