Scottish Government ministers are unlikely to establish a national equal pay unit, despite calls from the trade union that led to strikes over the snowballing issue.
A Holyrood source told The MJ there is currently ‘no appetite’ for a specialist unit, with national-level politicians keen to ensure council pay remains a devolved issue.
