Public sector bodies including councils must ‘change their mindset’ on cross-working with the private sector and academics on procurement, according to an international law firm.
Legal practice Osborne Clarke called for a ‘smarter’ approach to public procurement, arguing councils should go straight to the private sector for creative solutions, rather than running a competition and tender exercise for standardised contracts.
