Stockport chief set to take reins at Greater Manchester

Caroline Simpson has been named as the preferred candidate to become group chief executive of Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Transport for Greater Manchester.

Currently chief executive of Stockport MBC, Simpson is expected to take over from Eamonn Boylan when he retires following May’s mayoral elections.
