What is the economic offer for voters?

It’s not yet clear how prominent the concerns of urban voters will be at the next election, but the upcoming party conferences should provide insights into the policy platforms the parties will put to the electorate as and when it is called.

More than a decade of stagnant wage growth, compounded by an inflation-driven cost of living crisis, has affected households everywhere, particularly in poorer places. YouGov polling in August finds 61% of the British public say the economy will be the deciding factor at the next election.
