Council victory in landmark legal case

Anyone wishing to launch a legal challenge against a council may have go through its complaints procedure first, following a judgement by the Court of Appeal.

The case involving Merthyr Tydfil CBC has ramifications for the wider sector after it was concluded courts can stay proceedings and compel parties to undergo mediation or dispute resolution.
