Sally Dickinson explains how the Berkeley Foundation is working with its charity partner and local authorities to help vulnerable young people keep their homes and manage their finances.

Across the UK, a new young person presents as homeless to their council every four minutes. This is a jarring statistic that speaks to our deepening housing and homelessness crisis.

There is no silver bullet for such a complex national challenge. But, at the Berkeley Foundation, we have seen the important role financial education and collaboration with local authority partners can play in identifying individuals who are most at risk and preventing vulnerable young people from losing their homes in the first place.
