The party manifestos have been branded ‘a little last decade’ after they were released in quick succession ahead of the General Election.

Labour pledged a significant increase in public spending and in-sourcing of council services, the Conservatives committed to £1bn annually for social care and an English devolution White Paper and the Liberal Democrats set out plans for a dedicated health and social care tax.
