Here we are again, another General Election and our increasingly hard-working election staff are battling through the winter weather to get the election process done. If our election staff are fatigued, they are not alone – the entire electorate is weary, worn down and cynical.

It is a campaign that has seen the very worst of politics. Petty point scoring may be bread and butter for most General Elections, but now we have descended into outright warfare.
