Anderson granted permission to challenge legal fees decision

Former mayor of Liverpool City Council, Joe Anderson, has been granted permission to challenge the council’s decision not to pay his legal fees.

A High Court judge in Manchester ordered an urgent trial after Mr Anderson claimed the council was acting unlawfully by refusing to provide him with the same indemnity against legal costs offered to other members of the council.
