BT reassures councils after strategy shift

BT has moved to reassure councils that the refocusing of its group-level business strategy will not impact negatively on its local authority client base.

Since new chief executive Philip Jansen was headhunted by BT earlier this year to replace Gavin Patterson, the telecoms group has been refocusing its strategy to focus largely on its core businesses in the UK.
