Beasley to step down from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

The chief executive of Cambridgeshire CC and Peterborough City Council, Gillian Beasley, has announced she will retire early next year.

Ms Beasley put off her original retirement from October last year following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. She confirmed her intention to step down before last month’s elections, which saw Cambridgshire shift from a Conservative administration to no overall control.
