Tower Hamlets LBC’s cabinet member for housing and development will attempt to succeed Lutfur Rahman as the borough’s directly elected mayor next month, it has been announced.
Cllr Rabina Khan will stand as an independent after her party, Tower Hamlets First, was removed from the Electoral Commission’s register of political parties.
