Brum finances dubbed 'exemplary'

Birmingham City Council – which was once on the brink of financial collapse – has been praised for improvements in its financial management.

A report by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has claimed the council’s accounting is now ‘exemplary’. The finance body has upped its rating of the city to three stars out of a possible five.
