CCN conference: MacAlister moots national children's care service

Some parts of children’s social services may be better provided at a national level, the chair of an independent review has told the County Councils' Network (CCN) conference.

Josh MacAlister, chair of the independent review into children’s services, told the event his review was asking fundamental questions about the ‘right architecture around children’s social care,’ including what is best provided at a ‘hyper-local, community level’.
