Call for minimum funding 'floor'

Hampshire CC’s leader has called for the introduction of a funding ‘floor’ to ensure all councils receive a minimum level of core spending power.

Cllr Keith Mans said introducing such a floor in the provisional local government finance settlement would cost around £300m nationally and ‘help benefit approximately 26 lowest funded councils – including Hampshire’.
