Care recruitment 'car crash' warning

Ministers have been warned of an impending ‘car crash’ in care recruitment due to the numbers of extra staff needed to handle care package changes.

Care minister Gillian Keegan admitted at a Local Government Association conference fringe meeting on the care recruitment crisis that an extra 6,000 staff would be required to handle assessments.
