Casey: Involve councils in sorting Universal Credit

Whitehall must use the expertise of councils to sort out Universal Credit (UC), a former senior Government adviser has told The MJ.

Work and pensions minister Alok Sharma today announced a further delay to the rollout of the Government’s flagship welfare reform, but Dame Louise Casey said UC should be ‘halted and sorted – not tinkered with’.
