Council approves UK's first community municipal investment

West Berkshire Council voted last night to approve the UK’s first community municipal investment (CMI).

People are promised a ‘long-term, low-risk return’ from investing as little as £5 in specific projects that align with the council’s aim to become carbon neutral by 2030.
