Thanet DC’s UKIP administration has abandoned its controversial plans to compulsory purchase Manston Airport.
Cabinet members voted at an extraordinary meeting on 29 October to take no further action on a compulsory purchase order (CPO), despite it being one of the key election pledges when UKIP took control of the local authority in May.
