Councils loan £17.5m to waste partnership

Five district councils in Somerset have agreed to loan their waste partnership a total of £17.5m to buy new recycling vehicles.

The local authorities – including Taunton Deane BC and West Somerset Council – have all agreed to lend Somerset Waste Partnership around £3.5m each.
