Councils to bring services in-house

Four neighbouring councils are expected to take greater control of services after an independent review of their jointly-owned firm Publica.

The report by consultants Human Engine recommended that a ‘significant number’ of services should move back to Cheltenham BC and West Oxfordshire, Cotswold and Forest of Dean DCs after five years, leaving Publica to deliver a range of back office and customer services for the councils.
