Councils urged to help struggling care providers

Care minister Helen Whately has urged local authorities to use government funding to help any providers who are struggling.

Ms Whately said some local authorities were doing a ‘good job’ at getting funding to providers, but added she was ‘ready’ to talk to any that do not appear to be acting fast enough.
