Districts call for new homes bonus certainty

District councils have called for long-term certainty over the future of the dwindling new homes bonus (NHB).

The provisional local government finance settlement said NHB funding, which had been under threat, would be £554m in 2022-23 – down from the nearly £1.5bn distributed in 2016-17.
