DoH ‘may offer’ improved settlement for Care Act shortfalls

Care experts at Wokingham MBC and West Berkshire Council are confident the Department of Health could now cover a reported funding shortfall.

The councils launched legal action against their settlements for implementation of the Care Act in March, with West Berkshire alone estimating that it was £3m short of the figure it should have received.
