The Government’s public commitment that all areas will have a local industrial strategy (LIS) agreed by March has been thrown into doubt.
Amid fears about a shift in Whitehall priorities, a spokesman for the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) refused to re-commit to the deadline when asked by The MJ.
