North of Tyne’s Labour Mayor Jamie Driscoll has urged his party to back fiscal devolution.
Asked what difference a Labour Government would make at an event hosted by the Institute for Government think-tank, Mayor Driscoll said: ‘Frankly, until you give us the financial tools to close the loop it’s only ever going to be better delivery.
