EXCLUSIVE: Clash over timing of May election counts

Returning officers are on a collision course with police and crime commissioners (PCC) over the timing of counts for the May elections.

It comes after the Government announced that the early May Bank Holiday will move to Friday May 8 – the day after the elections - to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
