EXCLUSIVE: Survey reveals spending control plans

A dozen metropolitan councils have been forced to impose spending controls or plan to do so, survey results shared exclusively with The MJ have revealed.

The survey of members of Sigoma, a special interest group for councils in metropolitan areas, found 27% already had controls in place while a further 27% said they would have to introduce them in the near future.
