Experts call for revenue-boosting internet tax

Green credits and an internet transaction tax could provide valuable new revenue streams for local government, MPs have been told.

In evidence submitted to the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee, the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation (IRRV) suggested councils could introduce a system of green points that would reward environmentally-friendly behaviour.
