Firms back business rates devolution

More than two thirds of UK firms have backed the Local Government Association’s (LGA) call to devolve business rates, according to a new survey.

Polling for the LGA, by ComRes, found 68 per cent of businesses across the UK agreed that business rates should be set locally in discussion with local firms.
