Follow Wolves’ lead when it comes to protecting residents

Dealing with criticism is part and parcel of everyday life for local authorities. But it is difficult to stomach when it comes from other councils – typically elected members – and amounts to little more than political posturing and sour grapes.

That is how I would sum up the response from some quarters to Wolverhampton City Council’s proactive approach to taxi licensing.
