Gove scraps urban centre recovery taskforce

Communities secretary Michael Gove has disbanded a 10-strong expert advisory group of local government leaders and business after just a year.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) confirmed the end of the urban centre recovery taskforce, which was formed by Mr Gove’s predecessor Robert Jenrick to ‘advise on the development and regeneration of our great town and city centres’.
