Government pulls plug from counter-extremism group

The Government has withdrawn funding for a network that shares experiences and good practice in tackling extremists.

Funding for the Special Interest Group on Countering Extremism (SIGCE), which supports local authorities, expired at the end of March and was not renewed in the Spending Review.
