With a new Prime Minister comes a new policy agenda – and it remains to be seen if ‘levelling up' will be quietly sidelined, or receive the focus it needs to become more than ‘just a slogan'.

While the national policy agenda will be key to lifting up left-behind communities across the UK, our research has revealed people with mental health problems are being left behind even within those regions – with concerning inequality hotspots opening up across the country.
