Communities secretary Robert Jenrick has defended the Prime Minister’s claim that devolution in Scotland has been a ‘disaster’.
Speaking to a virtual meeting of the Northern Research Group of Conservative MPs last night, Boris Johnson said devolution had been ‘a disaster North of the border’. He described it as the biggest mistake of the Blair Government as it had paved the way for independence.
