Judge accuses council of 'longstanding failures'

A council accused by a judge of ‘longstanding failures’ in its children’s services has admitted its actions were ‘indefensible’.

The ruling by the Family Division of the High Court said Herefordshire Council failed to address ‘distorted perceptions’ by four siblings in foster care of their birth parents, and failed to promote contact between them.
