King recognises council chiefs in honours

Current and former local authority bosses have been recognised in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours. 

Several chief executives became OBEs, including Wigan MBC's Alison Mckenzie-Folan, and Sunderland City Council boss Patrick Melia, who is also finance spokesperson for senior officers’ organisation Solace.
