LGA pleads for no more cuts

Town hall bosses have called on the chancellor to spare them from any further cuts.

In a letter published yesterday in the Observer newspaper, the chairman of the Local Government Association, Cllr David Sparks, said further spending cuts over the next Parliament was ‘not an option’.
