LGA set to go red amid counties' exit

The political control of the Local Government Association (LGA) hangs in the balance in the run up to the local elections after the departure of two counties. 

Leicestershire CC leader, Cllr Nick Rushton, told a virtual meeting last week that the council would not re-join after several years of rolling notice, and said Lincolnshire CC was also planning to leave by yesterday's deadline.
