Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson has urged the city’s residents to ‘rise up’ to fight any further cuts – while warning he would not set a budget that cut services.

Speaking to local media after Local Government Association modelling suggested the city faced a £27m hit in central government funding in 2021/22, Mr Anderson said ‘enough is enough'.
