MHCLG issue details on critical staff who can skip 'pingdemic' rules

Highway maintenance, regulatory and trading standards staff will not be allowed to skip isolation if they are ‘pinged’ by the NHS COVID app.

Managers and strategy staff will also need to stay at home, after civil servants wrote to councils to clarify the list of critical workers who are exempt from isolation rules.
