MPs have launched an investigation into the financial predicament of councils in the aftermath of Croydon LBC’s Section 114 notice.
A Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee inquiry will consider government grants, commercial investments and the impact of COVID-19. They will also look at the roll of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and consider what measures could help prevent more S114 notices in future.
