Great Yarmouth BC has withdrawn from merger talks with South Norfolk DC aimed at establishing a single management team led by a joint-chief executive.

Great Yarmouth BC has withdrawn from merger talks with South Norfolk DC aimed at establishing a single management team led by a joint-chief executive.

A statement issued by Great Yarmouth, following talks with council leader Cllr Steve Ames, and South Norfolk leader Cllr John Fuller, said moves towards a single officer shared service posed too many risks and would limit future options. The council remains willing to explore proposals on a service-by-service basis.
