A minister has admitted that the Government’s ambition for 300,000 new homes to be built a year is a ‘stretching target’.
Lord Greenhalgh, a minister in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, said delivering 242,000 homes from April 2019 to March 2020 was already the highest level for more than 30 years.
